What customers say

"Annual service on a boiler I'd written off in my head. They didn't write it off. Serviced it, said honestly it had a few good years left, saved me a small fortune. Will absolutely use again."
Geoff McAllister Homeowner, Bromley
"Brilliant from start to finish. The engineer (Marek I think) was so polite and explained everything as he went. 👏"
Dawn Homeowner, Bromley
"Annual boiler service this morning. Thorough, talked me through the pressure readings, no upselling whatsoever. Turned up bang in the window they gave me."
Daniel R. Homeowner, Croydon

Common questions about boiler servicing

Is an annual boiler service really necessary?

Yes — most manufacturers require an annual service to keep the warranty valid. Beyond warranty, a service catches deteriorating components before they cause a breakdown, maintains combustion efficiency, and ensures the flue and heat exchanger are safe. Skipping a service rarely saves money in the long run.

What is the difference between an annual service and a full strip-down?

An annual service covers all standard checks, combustion analysis, flue test, and clean without full disassembly. A full strip-down goes further: every internal component is removed, inspected individually, and cleaned — including the heat exchanger, burner, and injectors. We recommend it for boilers that have been missed for more than a year, or where combustion readings suggest build-up.

Will the engineer recommend a strip-down or just the annual service?

We assess the boiler on arrival and give you an honest recommendation. If the annual service is sufficient, that is what we say. If combustion readings or visual inspection suggest a strip-down would make a meaningful difference, we explain why. You decide — there is no pressure either way.

How long does a boiler service take?

An annual service typically takes 45–60 minutes. A full strip-down takes 90–120 minutes depending on the boiler model and condition.

Do I need to be home during the service?

An adult needs to be present to grant access. We confirm a time slot before the visit — if the day changes, we call ahead.

When is the best time to book a boiler service?

Late summer to early autumn — before the heating season. Demand is lower, which means faster availability. Booking in October or November when the boiler is already struggling is possible but harder to schedule quickly.
